In November 2006, Maica Laminates Sdn Bhd was awarded The Industry Service Excellence Award and The Interior Products Award by The Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers for MAICA Compact Wall Lining and received honorary mention for Interior Product Award (MAICA maiConcept).
Maica Laminates Sdn Bhd’s exhibition booth was recently awarded Second Prize for Open Booth Category at the Interiors Malaysia 2008 (Malaysia’s Interior Lifestyle Showcase) held in Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) from 29 May to 1 June 2008. This award is an honour for MAICA, whose future vision is to be the High Pressure Laminate industry’s concept and design trendsetter.
Maica Laminates Sdn Bhd formed a joint venture with a premier Japanese manufacturer, Aica Kogyo Co. Ltd., in 1968 for the manufacture of HPL (High Pressure Laminates) and Compact laminates. Presently Maica Laminates has two manufacturing facilities. These ultra modern facilities are equipped with machineries utilising the latest cutting edge technology.
Over two-thirds of the company’s products are exported overseas and the remainder is distributed locally through an established distribution network of nine strategically located branches throughout Malaysia and Singapore.
Maica Laminates Sdn Bhd has been certified ISO 9002 since 1995 and upgraded to ISO 9001: 2000 in year 2003. This year we have received our certification for ISO 9001 : 2008 (the latest ISO version). Maica Laminates Sdn Bhd’s products are manufactured under Japanese Standard (JIS K6902) and European Standard (EN 438) – assurance of a quality product.
