Gayathri was trained in Australia in the area of counseling and applied psychology following her Bachelors in Business and Commerce. Following her appointment at SOCSO, she was trained by the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Services of Australia following the inception of the Return To Work Programme that was launched in 2007. As a pioneer Case Manager, she has been involved in drawing the work process and modules for Return to Work in her organization as well as the Return to Work expansion programme which involves the training of new case managers. She has also been trained as a Job Coach and is currently a senior trainer. Gayathri currently heads the Employment Services Department and has introduced many new initiatives in the area of job placement and employment support in Social Security Organisation Malaysia. She is also the project director for the National Employment Services Portal, MYFutureJobs.

Andreas Charles Akobiarek

Andreas was previously a graduate trained in industrial relations and labour studies which focuses primarily on the Employment Act 1955, Sabah & Sarawak Labour Ordinance and Industrial Relations Act 1967. After joining SOCSO, Andreas was responsible for the placement of PWDs in the state of Johor. As a Disability placement Officer, Andreas engaged with the relevant NGOs and were involved in the effort of increasing the hiring of PWDs through awareness talks and engagement sessions. Andreas currently heads the Strategic Initiatives & MYFutureJobs Unit at SOCSO which focuses on creating strategic collaborations to increase the placement rate and reducing the unemployment rate in the country through quality labour facilitation and utilization of the national Job portal MYFutureJobs.
